Apex Wind Energy Acquires Assets of Nevada Wind LLC

Charlottesville, VA – March 11, 2011 – Apex Wind Energy, Inc. today announced an agreement to acquire wind energy project assets in eastern Nevada from Nevada Wind LLC, a regional wind development company based in Las Vegas and Sparks, Nevada. Fully‐built, the projects have the potential to support up to 810 megawatts of wind energy capacity.

“This acquisition firmly establishes Apex as a national wind energy developer with a strong position in western markets,” said Jim Trousdale, CFO of Apex. “Nevada Wind has done an excellent job of identifying projects that have a strong wind resource and access to transmission.”

The Apex management team has completed over $1 billion in wind power facilities in Colorado, Kansas, New York, Texas, Wyoming, and the Netherlands. Their track record includes $22 billion of structured finance transactions completed for wind and conventional energy projects.
