Wind energy is the perfect fit for the new Virginia economy.

That’s why we are so excited that the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality has approved a permit for the construction and operation of Rocky Forge Wind, a project that’s shaping up to be the first wind farm in the Commonwealth.

Wind creates opportunities across skill sets and throughout the state. Rocky Forge’s construction alone will bring more than $100 million in economic investment to southwestern Virginia, will create jobs, and will generate tens of millions of dollars in stable tax revenue.

Charlie helps move projects through the various stages of development, from land acquisition through all levels of permitting. Charlie has been a member of the Apex team since 2013, having previously worked in the industry on the West Coast. He holds a BS in integrated science and technology with an energy concentration from James Madison University.
