Cultivating the Future American Wind Workforce

Apex sponsors students competing in the National KidWind Challenge.

The U.S. Department of Energy predicts that wind power could supply 20 percent of the country’s electricity by 2030. With the industry ramping up across the nation, wind energy could support 380,000 American jobs in just over a decade.

For the past 15 years, KidWind has worked to empower the next generation of wind workers. Between regional competitions in more than 20 states and presentations in schools across the globe, the organization reached approximately 35,000 students during the 2017–2018 academic year alone. Apex Clean Energy is a proud sponsor of KidWind and its mission to educate and inspire students.
