Charlottesville, VA – June 7, 2016 – The Deal of the Year award from Risk.net went to Morgan Stanley this year for its work on the innovative transaction to bring energy from the Kingfisher Wind facility in Oklahoma to Southern Company subsidiary Gulf Power’s service area in Florida. This is the third Deal of the Year win for the Kingfisher Wind project, following 2015’s Platts Global Energy Awards and Commodity Business Awards.
Charlottesville, VA – April 14, 2016 – Apex Clean Energy has acquired the Sugar Creek Wind One project from American Wind Energy Management Corp (AWEM). The project has the potential to support 175 MW of wind energy capacity in Illinois.

25 Megawatt Power Purchase Agreement Further Diversifies the Furniture Company’s Renewable Energy Portfolio
Grand Rapids, Mich. – February 2, 2016 – Steelcase Inc. (NYSE: SCS), the global leader in the office furniture industry, announced a 12-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Apex Clean Energy for 25 megawatts of wind power. Since 2014, Steelcase has invested in renewable energy credits equivalent to 100% of its global electricity consumption. This latest investment will make up nearly half of Steelcase’s renewable energy purchases, directly support the construction of a new clean energy facility set to begin operations in 2016, and further diversify the company’s renewable energy portfolio.
Charlottesville, VA – January 20, 2016 – Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Energy, in coordination with the U.S. Army Office of Energy Initiatives (OEI) and Fort Hood, has signed a Renewable Energy Supply Agreement (RESA) with Apex Clean Energy Holdings, LLC, for 65.8 MW of electricity from a combination of large-scale renewable energy solar and wind facilities to serve Fort Hood in Texas. The Army is expected to pay about $168 million less than what it would pay for power from the traditional electricity grid over the course of the 28-year agreement.

The winning deal was selected from a short list of finalists that had been narrowed down from a global pool of nominees.

Kay County, OK – December 15, 2015 – Kay Wind, a 299-megawatt wind facility located in Kay County, Oklahoma, began commercial operation on December 12, 2015. Apex Clean Energy, an independent renewable energy company, developed, managed construction of, and will operate the project, which is the largest single-phase wind farm in Oklahoma. It is the first wind facility owned by Southern Company subsidiary Southern Power, which is also expected to purchase the 150 MW Grant Wind facility from Apex upon completion of construction.
Edmond, OK – December 7, 2015 – Oklahoma Municipal Power Authority (OMPA) has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) for wind generation from Apex Clean Energy subsidiary Grant Plains Wind, LLC. Grant Plains Wind will produce about 150 MW of electricity, enough to help power approximately 56,000 homes. Grant Plains Wind is expected to come online in 2016.
