Charlottesville, VA – September 30, 2016 – Apex Clean Energy has acquired the Novus IV wind energy project from Novus Windpower, LLC, headquartered in Guymon, Oklahoma. The project, which is located in Hansford County and Sherman County, Texas, in the north Texas Panhandle, has the potential to bring 360 MW of wind energy into the Southwest Power Pool market and could begin construction as early as 2017.
Charlottesville, VA – September 1, 2016 – Apex Clean Energy (Apex) today announced the promotion of Mark Goodwin to president and chief executive officer of the company. Goodwin joined Apex in 2009 as chief operating officer and was named president and chief operating officer in 2010.
Apex’s previous chief executive officer, Sandy Reisky, will assume the dual roles of chairman of the board and chief strategy officer and will remain involved in key aspects of ongoing operations.
Grant County, OK – August 29, 2016 – Southern Power, a subsidiary of Southern Company, and Apex Clean Energy (Apex) today announced Southern Power’s acquisition of the 147 MW Grant Plains Wind facility from Apex. This is the third facility that Southern Power has purchased from Apex, along with the nearby Grant Wind and Kay Wind.
Charlottesville, VA – August 9, 2016 – Apex Clean Energy has acquired a second project from American Wind Energy Management Corp (AWEM), Sangamon Wind One in western Sangamon County, Illinois. The project has the potential to support 130 MW of wind energy.

This is the third Deal of the Year win for the Kingfisher Wind project, following 2015’s Platts Global Energy Awards and Commodity Business Awards.

25 Megawatt Power Purchase Agreement Further Diversifies the Furniture Company’s Renewable Energy Portfolio
Grand Rapids, Mich. – February 2, 2016 – Steelcase Inc. (NYSE: SCS), the global leader in the office furniture industry, announced a 12-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Apex Clean Energy for 25 megawatts of wind power. Since 2014, Steelcase has invested in renewable energy credits equivalent to 100% of its global electricity consumption. This latest investment will make up nearly half of Steelcase’s renewable energy purchases, directly support the construction of a new clean energy facility set to begin operations in 2016, and further diversify the company’s renewable energy portfolio.
