Apex Wind Energy Acquires BQ Energy

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – June 22, 2009; Apex Wind Energy, Inc. today announced an agreement to acquire BQ Energy LLC., a developer of utility‐scale wind energy projects. BQ Energy develops wind energy facilities located on industrial, military and brownfield sites. The purchase includes BQ Energy’s project development pipeline.

BP To Buy Greenlight Energy Inc.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – August 15, 2006 BP has reached agreement to buy Greenlight Energy Inc., a U.S. based developer of wind power generation projects. The purchase will allow BP to accelerate its plans to develop a leading wind power business in North America.

BP will acquire all the shares of Greenlight Energy for consideration of over $100 million. The companies expect to complete the transaction in the third quarter of this year.

Greenlight Energy Signs Agreement with Xcel Energy for 300 MW Wind Energy Project in Colorado

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA –December 28, 2005–Greenlight Energy, Inc. today announced it has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Public Service Company of Colorado (PSCo), a subsidiary of Xcel Energy, for the electricity generated by a 300 MW wind power facility scheduled for completion in late 2007. Greenlight’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Cedar Creek Wind Energy, LLC, and Babcock & Brown LP through a joint venture will develop, build, own and operate the proposed $480 million wind energy facility to be located in Northeastern Colorado.

Greenlight Energy Completes Sale of Kansas Wind Power Development Project - Signs Agreement with PPM Energy for 150-Megawatt Project

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA—December 14, 2004 — Greenlight Energy, Inc., a wind energy company, today announced the sale of the Elk River project in Butler County, Kansas. PPM Energy, Inc., ScottishPower’s competitive U.S. energy business, agreed to purchase Greenlight Energy’s subsidiary Elk River Windfarm, LLC, and will own and operate the 150- megawatt wind energy facility. Greenlight, which began development of the project in 2002, also negotiated a 20-year power purchase agreement with the Empire District Electric Company to purchase the energy generated from the wind farm.
