Pioneering a New Era in Apex’s History

Message from the CEO

Just over a year ago, the Inflation Reduction Act was enacted, creating long-term certainty for Apex, our partners, and our peers. Rounding the corner on the first anniversary of this landmark legislation, industry-wide progress is evident, but the policy alone will not ensure our goals are met. Our work still faces significant headwinds, which can only be overcome with the characteristics that our expert team embodies: resilient, innovative, focused, and persistent.

Apex’s new business model—that of a full-service, pure-play renewable energy company—is poised to deliver fully in the coming months. A number of utility-scale wind, solar, and battery storage projects are progressing swiftly through financing and construction milestones—the successful culmination and conclusion of all development scopes of work. Both new and repeat partnerships have enabled these projects, including our first storage facility, which will shortly reach commercial operations. Today, the company’s mission-driven team of professionals is executing at scale across the board, building top-tier projects in North Carolina, Ohio, Maine, and Texas amid challenging permitting regimes and perhaps even tougher transmission constraints.

This year, Apex is set to build and own more clean energy than ever in our company’s history.

Already, the results speak for themselves: this year, Apex is set to build and own more clean energy than ever in our company’s history. In 2024, we’re poised to deliver even more, expanding our portfolio of operating projects and settling into the role of owner-operator.

Of course—true to Apex’s entrepreneurial nature—the company remains nimble, embracing flexibility within our commercialization strategy to drive returns and value at every turn. Case in point: we recently leveraged our long-established development expertise to finance Apex’s first-ever portfolio of distributed energy projects—with much more to come in the space.

As we look to the coming years, Apex stands ready—with both incredible momentum and a demonstrated business model—to advance the company’s unrivaled portfolio of projects, delivering increasing value and advancing swiftly toward our North Star: accelerating the shift to clean energy.
