Apex Teams with ACORE to Produce PPA Guidebook for C&I Purchasers

As more companies seek to buy renewable energy directly through power purchase agreements (PPAs), Apex Clean Energy has teamed with the corporate procurement working group of the American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE) and the C&I PPA team at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP to produce the Renewable Energy PPA Guidebook for Corporate & Industrial Purchasers.

This free, 24-page guide was designed to bring clarity to the often complex PPA contracting process and provides value for companies both unfamiliar with the key elements of successful PPAs and those preparing to enter the long-term market for renewable energy. The guide was released at ACORE Finance West in San Francisco on November 1, 2016.

The guide is organized in two sections: an outline of key terms and a broader exploration of each step of the procurement process from the perspectives of both the buyer and seller. The project benefited from the participation of a group of prominent renewable energy developers, investors, professional service firms, utilities, and other companies.
